Multiple Sclerosis is a progressive demyelinating disease of the Nervous System often accompanied with spontaneous remissions and exacerbations.

It can affect any aspect of nervous system and brain function. Typical symptoms can include:

• optic neuritis - inflammation of the optic nerves
• diplopia - double vision
• weakness in leg or hand
• paresthesias - abnormal sensations such as tingling, burning, etc.
• gait disturbances
