The Great Vitamin Deception
You would be amazed if you found out what manufacturers can legally put into supplements in terms of additives, fillers, and binders without having to list these items on the label.
Let's look at the following example from a popular supplement that is constantly advertised on television:
This is all in very small print.
The question is: who will bother to read all of these ingredients, especially those over 50 years old with week eyes?
24 Other Ingredients, Unnecessary and Potentially Harmful
Here's the same list, in slightly larger font:
I highlighted all unnecessary and potentially harmful ingredients:
Here's that same list, sequentially. :
There are 24 unnecessary "other" ingredients in this list, well hidden among the good ingredients.

Fillers and Preservatives
Most all supplements from grocery stores, online vendors, mass markets such as Walmart, Costco etc., even from health food stores, utilize raw materials containing
lactose, corn starch, talc, sodium benzoate, BHA, BHT, hydrogenated oils.
as fillers and preservatives.
These ingredients often cause allergic reactions, especially in sensitive people, and many are harmful to the person ingesting them.

Lubricants and Flowing Agents
These same companies utilize lubricants and flowing agents such as
stearic acid, magnesium stearate, calcium stearate, ascorbyl palmitate
Magnesium stearate, sometimes calcium stearate or stearic acid, appears by far the most popular one.
Read the labels! They add absolutely no value to the supplement content. Their only purpose is to make the manufacturing process easier because they keep ingredients from sticking to the machinery.
These lubricants are saturated fats. They tend to engulf the active ingredients which interferes with their absorption.
It is like throwing a good portion of your supplements out the window.

Binders, Glues, Coloring Agents and other Poisons
Whenever you use supplements in tablet form, beware!
All tablets contain binders and glues to keep their shape.
Many tablets contain artificial coloring agents to make them look "prettier".
Titanium Oxide as a "whitening agent" is just one example.
FD&C Blue No. 2 Aluminum Lake
FD&C Red No. 40 Aluminum Lake
FD&C Yellow No. 6 Aluminum Lake
ALL three contain aluminum, implicated in Alzheimer's disease and cancer.
*Sodium Aluminosilicate - why put poison in your vitamins:
Sodium aluminosilicate is used as a food additive to prevent caking or clumping in dry powdered mixtures. It is also added to latex paint to create a flat finish and is a component of household cleaning products.
Sodium aluminosilicate may enter the body through the respiratory system or by ingestion and cause serious health consequence. In the case of a severe exposure, it may cause death.
