It is estimated that there are 150 billion nerve cells/neurons in your brain, in my brain
– more neurons than there are stars in the Milky Way.
Each brain cell/neuron makes up to 40,000 connections with other nerve cells/neurons.
We call these connections synapses.
Neurons are constantly communicating via theses synapses with each other. |

Your brain weighs approximately 2% of your body’s weight. |

What Your Brain Needs
1. All Cells Require Energy (ATP) made from Glucose and Oxygen
|
|
- All cells of your body, such as the cells of your muscles cells, and also your brain cells/neurons, require energy so they can do their job.
- This cell energy is called ATP, short for Adenosine-5'-Tri-Phosphate.
- Each cell contains a number of tiny power plants, called mitochondria.
- These power plants make ATP from oxygen and glucose.

2. Your Brain Cells/Neurons are Different
Your neurons require a 3rd Thing
Your brain cells/neurons are different from the other cells of your body.
Yes, they do require Adequate Oxygen and Balanced Blood Sugar/Glucose to make cell energy ATP.
In addition, they require a “3rd Thing” which is absolutely essential to their survival.
We call the 3rd Thing "Brain Input/Activation/Stimulation".
What is this Brain Input/Activation/Stimulation?

Well, this brain input comes from all the senses:
- Sight
- Hearing
- Taste
- Touch
- Smell
|
Example:
You touch something or somebody with your hand.
There are approximately 17,000 tiny touch receptors in each of your hands.
These tiny receptors send electrical impulses back to a very specific part of your brain.
This part of your brain lights up, is activated, is stimulated, becomes alive.
Your brain interprets these electrical impulses as touch.
Another example:
Whenever light falls on the retina in the back of your eyes, the retinal cells send electrical impulses via your optic nerve to a specific area in the back of your brain, the visual cortex.
The visual cortex becomes activated, stimulated, alive.
Your visual cortex interprets these electrical impulses as vision.
The stimulation/input makes your brain vibrant and energized.

The biggest portion of this brain input, 80% or more, comes from physical movement in the Earth’s gravitational field.
In your muscles there are countless tiny receptors, called muscle spindles.
These muscle spindles send constantly information to your brain about the stretch of your muscles fibers, consequently about the relative position of your limbs in space.
- It is estimated that there are between 25,000 and 30,000 muscle spindles throughout your body.

Whenever you move, these muscle spindles send information back to your brain.
- Specific portions of your brain are activated, stimulated, become alive.
- Your brain becomes stronger and more vibrant when you move physically in space.

A client letter:
My name is Irene, I am 70 years old.
I have suffered from insomnia for more than 10 years. I was always tired.
I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and had heart surgery.
I have had terrible bronchitis, coughing and shortness of breath for the last 2 years that would not let up. Often I would cough up phlegm.
