Why use Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs)
Coconut Oil Supreme contains proximally 66% Medium Chain Triglycerides.
Unlike long chain triglycerides, which must bond with bile and cholesterol prior to being utilized as an energy source by the body, the Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) found in coconut oil can be metabolized directly by your liver into units of cellular energy which are called alpha-keto acids (ketone bodies).
The byproduct of this process results in the formation of a compound that is called 1-monoglyceride. Depending on the type of medium chain triglyceride that is metabolized, the resulting 1-monoglyceride can exert a pronounced antifungal, antiviral, anti-parasitic, or anti-bacterial influence in the body.
Why use Dr. Z's MCT Nutri-Oil Supreme
MCT Nutri-Oil Supreme contains approximately 85% Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs), compared with 66% of regular coconut oil.
Although Coconut Oil is well suited for increasing cellular energy, the fatty acid profile of coconut oil leaves some room for improvement in regard to the 1-monoglyceride byproducts which are ideally suited for therapeutic applications that focus on the reduction and perhaps elimination of malicious microorganisms.
To address this need, MCT Nutri-Oil Supreme™ was developed. Compared with natural state coconut oil, MCT Nutri-Oil Supreme™ contains:
- More than 4 times as much capric acid (C10*)
- More than 3 times as much caprylic acid (C8*) and caproic acid (C6*) (anti-fungal and anti-viral properties)
- Almost 20% lauric acid (C12*) which is converted by the liver into monolaurin (antibacterial and anti-parasitic properties)

Start Easy.
If you experience a sense of nausea, reduce the amount you take at one time.
This happens to some people when they take too much too fast. Spread the desired amount over the course of the day.
Three tablespoons a day (one tablespoon with each meal) is a good starting point, with larger quantities to be added later if you so desire.
